CESA #4 will be hosting multiple dates of Learning, Language, and Literacy Integrated Framework for Teaching (L3IFT) workshops. These workshops will be focused on coaching best practices correlated to SIOP Features and Integrating the English Language Development Standards needed for the 2025-2026 DPI rollout phase.

Session: Explicit and Sustained Language Focus - Key Language Use: Inform on February 6, 2025

Outcomes include

  • Identify the genres in the INFORM genre family and the key language features present in science and social studies informing texts.
  • Apply the TLC to learn how to deconstruct informing texts to make language visible to students.

Session: Explicit and Sustained Language Focus - Key Language Use: Explain on April 16, 2025

Outcomes include

  • Understand how PLDs can be used to analyze student work and plan the next instructional steps.
  • Identify the genres in the EXPLAIN genre family and the key language features present in science and social studies explanations.
  • Apply the TLC to learn how to deconstruct informing texts to make language visible to students.

Cost is FREE for Title III Consortium member districts.  * Updated Pricing* Non-member districts will be $200.00 for the series.
