Conferencing is the most formal of the Restorative Practices and is an in-depth, time-intensive practice for serious situations.

It is strongly recommended that participants attend Restorative Practices for Educators and used these skills before attending this training.

In this 2-day training, you'll engage in hands-on learning to:

  • Understand the purpose of Formal Conferences and how they differ from problem-solving circles.
  • Practice facilitating conferences through multiple school-based role plays.
  • Reflect on how restorative conferences can address harm and serve as an alternative to suspension.

IMPLEMENTATION COACHING AND CONTINUED LEARNING AFTER TRAINING

  • COACHING SUPPORT - Individual or Team Coaching with a WISH Trainer; two virtual coaching meetings included with training
    • To apply Restorative Practices to support policies and structures. Staff get what they need, when they need it.
    • Reflect on key actions for effective implementation and develop an action plan, using a focused set of resources.
  • RESTORATIVE PRACTICES Community of Practice
    • Participate in four virtual sessions with other educators from around the state to support your implementation journey.
