Cristina Sánchez-López, author of Special Education Considerations for Multilingual Learners, will introduce a framework for information-gathering along seven integral factors that impact multilingual learners’ (MLs) performance in school and their response to instruction and intervention (Tiers 1 & 2).
In this workshop participants will:

Be introduced to a framework for information-gathering along seven integral factors that impact ML’s performance in school and their response to instruction and intervention (Tiers 1 & 2).

Practice using the framework through composite ML case study examples.

Contrast possible explanations for the challenges that MLs experience in school from both English Learner as well as Exceptional Learner perspectives.

Examine classroom-based research, resources, and strategies to support instruction and intervention for MLs who experience challenges in school.
This event is FREE for Title III Consortium Members for the 2024-2025 school year. Non-Consortium Participants will be $175.00.
